Trent Loftin
LEGAL CAREER
After finishing his education, Trent worked for the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Assistant District Attorney from 1997 to 2000. He worked in his own private practice from 2000 to 2013, where he was dedicated and passionate about his clients and providing them with the best service and following the letter of the law. At the firm of Jerry Loftin & Associates, Trent brings this experience to work for every one of our clients. His work as a former prosecutor has given him a unique perspective in criminal defense cases and he works hard for all of his clients, from getting them out of jail to representing them throughout the legal process.
JUDICIAL CAREER
In the 2022 Republican Primary, he was elected Republican nominee for County Criminal Court #10. In Tarrant County, he will appear on the ballot in the general election on November 8th.
FAMILY
The Loftin family resides in Fort Worth with Trent and his wife, Dr. Laura Finke Loftin, and their three children, James, Pippa, and Raleigh. Their residence is in Fort Worth, and they attend Christ Chapel, Fort Worth.

HOW IT BEGAN
Trent Loftin is a native to Tarrant County, born in Fort Worth, and raised in Arlington Texas. He is the son of and law partner to Jerry Loftin and Associates in Fort Worth.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Being a lawyer runs in the Loftin family. Trent was exposed to his father Jerry Loftin’s legal practice from a young age, and this greatly influenced him to pursue a career in law himself, and the experience gave him the drive to always continue learning to keep up with the ever-changing laws and the best ways to defend his clients.
